L-series vSpace 5.1.3 release for Windows Server 2008, Vista and Windows 7

NComputing is making available a version of vSpace that adds support for Windows Server 2008, Vista and Windows 7 on the L130 and L230. And we ae releasing an important new vSpace software update (4.5.1) for the NComputing L-series on Windows Server 2003/XP (see other article on vSpace 4.5.1). Both of these releases provide vSpace updates, as well as, a new software and device registration process that activates the software and registers all L-series devices for use beyond a trial mode. The new registration process is quick and easy, but is required for this update, so please read on and consult the attached
Extended Product Release Notes for further details.

This new 5.1.3 is our fifth generation vSpace release or vSpace 5 and provides support for Windows 7.

vSpace 5 software is for the L130 and L230 products on 32-bit versions of Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 enabling users to share a single computer in multiuser and 1:1 VDI implementations.

Note that vSpace 5 also implements the new registration system where both the vSpace software and the L-series device(s) must be newly registered for product functionality beyond an initial 30-day trial period. In addition, until both the software and device(s) are registered with this update, an L-series device will have its user sessions limited to 60-minutes in length.

Please read the complete Product Release Notes which provide detailed instructions and recommended best practices for performing this update. These best practices include the recommendation to perform a full firmware update to your L-series device(s).
